  • What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a form of therapy that addresses the musculoskeletal system through a non-invasive, hands-on, and drug-free approach, focusing on the body as a whole.
  • Who are Chiropractors?
Chiropractors are trained in identifying the root cause of problems, providing diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitative exercises to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent further injuries from occurring. We specialize in manual therapy, which include spinal and extremity manipulation, as well as muscle release therapy.
  • Are Chiropractors Doctors?
Chiropractors are not medical doctors. We are however, licensed practitioners who are designated to use the title “doctor” similar to physicians after completing the extensive Doctor of Chiropractic degree program. Through completing a minimum of 4,200 hours of extensive training, we are experts in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions related to the musculoskeletal system.
  • What is an Adjustment? Are They Safe?
An adjustment (or manipulation) is a controlled movement that is high in velocity, but low in amplitude, and is applied to a specific joint in the body. The goal of an adjustment is to restore movement in the joint, ultimately decreasing pain, increasing mobility, and restoring function. The “popping” sound you might hear is caused by gas bubbles releasing from the joint capsule. A chiropractic adjustment is a safe and non-invasive approach to restoring function in a joint and is pain-free. In fact, patients report immediate pain relief. However, a small percentage of patients may feel temporary soreness following the adjustment that should resolve quickly.
